Objective 2 Funded Projects:

Credit Union Development

Credit Union support

This project seeks to increase access to affordable financial services and advice in the priority wards through development of the credit union network - nationally, up to 9% of adults have no bank account and one third no savings or investments. Part-funded by North Devon District Council, Devon County Council and the ERDF, the project will establish a strategy to develop credit union services and membership within each of the wards, to reduce, what are often, significant barriers to employment and community involvement.
